Partiamo dalla zona del Foro Italico e più precisamente dal Kalsa Luxury Apartment, un appartamento ubicato al piano attico di un edificio dell’800 che si trova tra la chiesa di Santa Teresa alla Kalsa e Porta Felice. Una delle zone tra le più antiche e belle della città. Il panorama sui tetti del centro storico vale da solo il prezzo. Due stanze da letto, cucina, due bagni, salotto e solarium sulla terrazza giardino con veduta sulla chiesa. C’è tutto quel che serve, elettrodomestici, TV satellitare, climatizzazione, Wi-Fi, e persino un barbecue. Un comodo e moderno ascensore scongiura la fatica per le scale. Fuori: vicoli, piazze e lo “street-food” di Chiluzzo, con pane e panelle, crocché, arancine e rascature. Inoltre, nel 2018 su questa stessa via nascerà il nuovo museo d’arte di Massimo Valsecchi, con opere di Andy Warhol, Gerard Richter, David Tremlett, Gilbert & George, Annibale Carracci e anche maioliche, oggetti di pop art e reperti archeologici. Il magnate ha infatti comprato Palazzo Butera, diventerà sede permanente della sua collezione privata.

Règle numéro deux, ne pas prendre un hôtel mais un appartement. J’ai fait l’expérience avec http://www. holidayhomepalermo.com/. Résultat, j’ai logé au cœur du quartier historique dans un duplex avec deux chambres à coucher, un salon et une terrasse ensoleillée qui donne envie de s’installer sur place, de se marier à un Sicilien et de lui faire six enfants.

After a very long plane flight it was heaven to land at the Kalsa apartment. We used the taxi service through Micro and it worked perfectly. The apartment is beautiful, light, airy, spacious, perfectly appointed, with comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms and a luxurious terrace. The hosts had a fruit bowl, a cassata, and many other food items to welcome us, which were very much appreciated. Francesca and Laura were gracious hosts who made us feel immediately at home. The location was perfect for getting to know the old center of Palermo. It is a fascinating city. We hope to return soon and stay at the Kalsa apartment.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Francesca willkommen geheißen. Der Kühlschrank war voller leckerer Überraschungen und das Appartement stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Dachterrasse ist ein wundervolles Refugium mit Blick auf die benachbarte Kirche, in der rund um die Uhr geheiratet wird. Mit den reichlichen Informationen von Francesca haben wir die von ihr empfohlenen Restaurants,besondere Stadtviertel, Kulturevents und nicht zuletzt die Tipps für Parkplätze (!!) wahrnehmen können. Palermo ist eine Reise wert – und nicht nur eine! Die großzügige Auswahl von Lebensmitteln, die für uns gekauft worden sind. Toller Auftakt! Wir fühlten uns gleich gastfreundlich aufgenommen. Dazu auch noch ein kleiner Briefgruß der Vermieter – sehr aufmerksam…

A beautiful flat in an excellent location. The flat has everything you need, and the welcome pack was particularly appreciated after a long journey! The terrace is absolutely stunning, and the air con very useful for hot days and nights in Palermo. You can park for free on the seafront which is a couple of minutes walk away. We found visitpalermo very helpful and efficient, with a vast span of knowledge which they put at our disposal to assist us to navigate filming in Palermo. They made our trips, both recce and filming, pleasurable and extremely productive. We are very grateful to them. Their greatest advantage to us in working with visitsicily was their knowledge of the city, their attitude to problem-solving and their fantastic connections with people all over Palermo and northern Sicily. This proved very helpful to us. The website is full of fantastic information and links but it looks a little old-fashioned. I think it would benefit by a face lift! At the moment, the look of it does not reflect how very useful, up-to-date and well-informed it is. The apartment is lovely – both beautiful and very comfortable. We felt spoilt! Two fantastic bathrooms (very important to us), lovely comfortable bedrooms and a very elegant sitting-room. The kitchen is tiny but perfectly equipped and we loved the welcome pack of teas and coffees, snacks, pastries and fruit. The roof terrace is stunning and a perfect place for al fresco dining or after-dinner star-gazing. To see: Monreale Martorana church Four corners Fountain of Shame Buatta Restaurant Cascinari Restaurant Spinattos for breakfast – canolli and coffee Teatro Massimo The Cathedral – especially the roof walk … just being in Palermo! Beautiful, exciting, rough and lovely.

Such a great stay in this beautiful apartment. The arrival was superb with a fridge and fruit bowl of delicious and necessary food and drink as we arrived too late for shopping. We instantly felt welcome. We were shown round by Maurizio who was super helpful. The agency were just round the corner for anything we needed. We used them for a boat trip which was excellent. Would highly recommend.
